A very special holiday party to thank and celebrate foster families in Dickson, Humphreys, Houston and Stewart counties!
On behalf of The Foster Parents Association of Dickson, Humphreys, Houston and Stewart Counties, The Renaissance Center hopes to make the holiday dreams come true for 46 local foster families with a very special Foster Family Holiday Party event on Saturday, December 15, 1pm – 9pm. Along with activities provided by the staff of The Renaissance Center, backed by support from The Jackson Foundation, we are looking for donations of goods or services to make this a very special day and happy holiday season for these families.
To show our appreciation to foster parents and their children for their unconditional love for foster children, we have scheduled a day of activities from 1pm to 9pm that include: a CyberSphere Full-dome Digital Theater Holiday Show, Stocking Art Workshops, musical entertainment, a Christmas Karaoke and Video Taping, Velveteen Rabbit live theatre production in the Performance Hall, a traditional holiday dinner, Angel Tree Gift Presentation, and a performance of A Christmas Carol, the Musical by the Renaissance Players Community Theatre. We also hope to send all 46 families home with a Christmas Dinner Food Box!
The Foster Parents Association of Dickson, Humphreys, Houston and Stewart Counties is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping foster families with resources, education and community support, increasing awareness to the issues that foster families experience and promoting the value and importance of foster family programs.
We would like to give each child a gift and each family a stocking! The deadline for donations (or detailed promise of a donation) is November 19. Thank you for your support!

Walk Me Home....to the place I belong is the signature fund-raising and awareness event for foster care in America. We know not everyone can be a foster parent, but Walk Me Home is a great way to support the over 513,000 children in foster care. This year thousands and thousands of walkers will participate in Walk Me Home events across the country, raising funds to support the life changing programs and activities of foster care associations throughout the United States.
