Beginning Art with Sarah Stob ( Senior Adults)

Still life, figure drawing, landscapes, charcoal, graphite, pastels. How do you draw/paint that? Now is the time to learn how to draw or paint anything. This course is designed so students can come to a class with an idea they want to draw or paint. That idea can then be discussed and implemented by the student with help from the instructor. So pick a medium, pick a style and come create. Student limit 12.
Adult Beginning Watercolor Painting with Jolene Clement
Students will learn and experiment with mixing colors, blending, applying transparent layers, glazing, and fun techniques in texturing. Simple lessons to bring in the importance of contrast, tone, value, design and composition will be given for you to try; with the outcome being beautiful paintings. Demonstrations will be given for students to follow step by step which are helpful for beginners as well as refreshers for those who have painted in watercolor before. The idea is to give students the basics as well as provide variety so each student can find their own creative niche and discover/enhance the artist within. Those who have painted before may follow the demonstrations & lessons or may branch out into individualized lessons, goals, and painting techniques. Students may bring their own supplies and may borrow some supplies or special materials.
Intermediate and Advance Adult Watercolor with Jolene Clement
This class is for students who have already had the beginning class or have experience with watercolor painting and the basic techniques. In this class, students will be encouraged to explore the types of techniques and styles that best suit them as individual artists. These students will be trying more advanced compositions and using their skills from their own individual levels of painting. There will be some group demonstrations for the class to follow as they wish but there will also be much more individualized instruction. The idea is to help the students to progress at their own levels and to develop each student as individual artists. Instruction is modified according to the student's and class's needs but will also introduce new materials and techniques.
