The Gaslight Dinner Theatre
Critics love our intimate 80-seat theatre on the basement level of The Renaissance Center! The GDT is in its twelfth year of offering first-rate productions with professional talent found at regional and national auditions.
Good food. Good Fun. That's Dinnertainment!

Gaslight Dinner Theatre performances are offered on Friday and Saturday evenings (6:30 dinner, showtime at 7:30) and Thursday and Friday (new days for 2013) matinees (12noon lunch, showtime at 1pm). More information...

The Renaissance Players is the center's community theatre troupe. With more than 400 members, the Players present productions each year that include popular musicals and plays. Shows are cast through open auditions and performances are presented in the center's 450-seat Performance Hall. The Renaissance Players provides Middle Tennesseans with an opportunity to work with the professional directors, actors, technicians and craftsmen from The Renaissance Center to present productions comparable to most professional theatre companies.

Renaissance Players productions are usually offered on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7pm and Sunday matinees at 2pm. A special luncheon performance is often offered. More information...

The Mind Enriching Theatre (M.E.T.) series consists of age-appropriate professionally produced plays aimed at enhancing the educator's curriculum. Plays range from familiar favorites to classic stories and are coodinated with art and music workshops. Each play has a corresponding Study Guide for teachers. Performances can accommodate up to 450 in the Performance Hall. More information...

The Renaissance Center's Theatre Arts Department is a member of American Association of Community Theatre, National Dinner Theatre Association, Unified Professional Theatre Association, Southeastern Theatre Conference and United States Institute for Theatre Technology.

Department productions are produced with the generous help of The Jackson Foundation, The Tennessee Arts Commission and The National Endowment for the Arts.
