It's early morning. In a quiet corner of the kitchen, an artist releases her imagination from a body that holds her physically captive. A sequence of computer beeps is her equivalent to the sound of a brush stroking canvas. Muscles above her eyes manipulate a mouse that carries vibrant visions from her mind to the screen... where she paints with pigment made of pixels. This is Erin Brady Worsham.Worsham is an artist living with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease). But this disabling illness doesn't stop Worsham from creating vibrant computer art . Her powerful images, and a synthesized computer voice, speak when she cannot."I want people to know I am a thinking, feeling, human, being! I can deal with the disease. I just can't always deal with the people!" -- Erin Brady Worsham, artistWorsham's inspiring story provides testimony to the ability of art -- guided by a determined spirit- to overcome obstacles.
